The penultimate bend in the Murray River before it heads east towards the mouth. I find the Murray astounding, whereever I see it.

Wenton Farm, Middleton, SA

Wenton Farm offers two holiday cottages on their farm in the beautiful and peaceful hinterland just north of Middleton township.

The cottages are light and airy and superbly presented.

Middleton is on the Fleurieu Peninsula between Victor Harbor and Goolwa facing the Southern Ocean full on.

The PS Oscar W was built in 1908 at Echuca, Victoria.

Rosetta Head, Encounter Bay, SA

Aka The Bluff.

On 8th April 1802 Matthew Flinders met with Nicolas Baudin on his ship Le Geographe in the waters near The Bluff. The area was named Encounter Bay as a result.

This meeting showed maturity and courage by both parties. Britain and France were at war until 25 March 1802 and neither party would have known of its ending.
